Kartik’s jaw tightened as he saw her trembling uncontrollably, her lips pale, her whole body shaking from the cold rain.
Without thinking twice, he shrugged off his wet shirt and pulled her close, wrapping his arms firmly around her.
“Bas… itna ghabra mat,” he muttered under his breath, rubbing his palms over her arms and back in an attempt to bring warmth. The flickering lantern inside the hut painted their soaked faces in gold and shadow.
